Memorial day a bit late

So we spent Memorial day at my parents. It was a fun day until toward the end. Josh's old faithful friend (dog) Misty died. She was such a good dog, she lived to the ripe old of 14. To honor Misty Jonah named his new nintendog - Misty Jr. Here are some Happy Jonah Pictures.

This was the sign above his high chair. It sat above the back of his seat like a banner. I secured it with tape and raised the banner with a wooden spoon. Inventive albeit, a bit red neck... hey, it worked! :-)

I probably should mention that to get the perfect shot I threw him very high in the air and held him up on a tree limb, but I bet the pics are great!



Savannah was so good with Jonah. I see a future babysitter!

Just like old times, except now we're old.

Wow, so we haven't seen each other in maybe 10 years but it was just like it was yesterday. Lainey is as adorable as she is pictured in her blog. Her and Jonah seemed to hit it off. Here is some proof of the fun.

When I got jonah dressed that night I told nathan, "Wow, he looks like Bubby." - proof again!

Jonah had fun with the cooler for about 15 minutes. 15 straight minutes of playing with 1 thing is quite a feat for Jonah.

Jonah's No Thank-You Face

He does not like spaghetti-o's, even at gramma's house... he say's no thank you (with his face). It's the most hilarious thing. I kept shoving the spoon in his face cuz the no face he made was so stinkin' funny! Poor Jonah!
He's recently started not liking food that he previously liked. Saturday he refused Pizza from TGI Friday's. Last time he had pizza he couldn't get enough. Monday night he was OK with pizza from Rugerro's. I choose to think he is a pizza connoisseur.
Is it bad that I secretly (and sometimes not so secretly) laugh when he gets mad...Seriously, look at that face. How can you NOT laugh when it scrunches up like that?

Drumline?

Last Saturday I ran/walked in a 5K benefiting Vision Builders. His picture is also on the race website. On the left column click on 2008 Race Pictures, then Kids. He's the first one. It's very similar to the bottom picture.















They had a marching band play at the start. At the turn they not only had water, but orange slices and M&M's. Then after the race they gave us all lunch. Very nice race, very organized. I will definitely be at next years. Well, unless I am ginormously pregnant or have too fresh of a baby, either of which would be heavenly!

Mother's Day Loot

Loot Item #1 from Jonah - Mine says Jonah Bentley. Wearing it today.
Loot Item #2 from Jonah - Nathan says mothers day needs "a little cheese". It is engraved on the front with "Happy 1st Mothers Day Mommy! Love, Jonah 2008". It plays "I just called to say I love you" - pure cheese.
Loot Item #3 from Nathan - PINK Dell XPS Notebook, loaded with PSElements. I am currently working on Jonah's 1st birthday invite.

I love being a mom and don't need presents, but I'm not going to refuse them either!

On a side note, I purchased 3 custom onesies from Jen's Craft Corner on Etsy. I ordered him the "1" (lil' cowpoke print) , "J" (green froggy print) , and whale (as pictured). I cannot wait to get them!
