i should be in bed asleep.

So it's 12:43 AM and I am still up because I'm a bit freaked that I messed up our flexible spending accounts for next year. I know I should go to sleep because Lucas will be up around 3:30 and I have a headache brewing but I just can't.

We cut down our Christmas tree today! We went to Trim Pines Tree farm in Grand Blanc. At first they were hesitant to let us get one but I persuaded them. I guess we were the 2nd people of the season. Oh and what last year would have cost abou 100 bucks, this year only cost $65! Yeah I have an almost 10 foot live tree in our living room. It took me I think 2 hours to properly put up the lights and another 1.5 hours to get the ribbon right. I think I need more bulbs. Oh, sadly dont expect any pictures of our tree hunting this year - I forgot the stinking camera! I'll post pictures of the tree later, I haven't taken any yet. So the house is festooned for christmas. Then mantle is decorated. I have 2.5 Christmas trees up. I'm debating on if I want to put up a 3rd in the basement.

in case you are wondering - yes, i did accidentally forget to brush jonah's hair (and mine) before the shoot. i like to think that his messy hair gives the shots more authenticity... lol.

Ok so maybe it's more of an ode to my working mammary glands... but last time they didn't work as well. it's just a bit astounding to me.

yes, it true. somehow i found the time. could be because i got inspired.... i shot tasha and chris' family pics the other night and i was really pleased with the result. hopefully saturday we can shoot more. here's the collage i made up for them this afternoon:

we put up 1 of our christmas trees. yes, i am insane about christmas. and yes our house already has 2 decorated chrustmas trees up and lights on our house. the pic only shows the living room tree with the lights. haven't got around to taking a pic of it fully decorated. the 2nd tree is in jonah's room. it's turquoise and silver and matches his room. if you come over he will drag you upstairs to see it. the "family tree" isn't up yet because we haven't been to the tree farm yet. i'm thinking next weekend. :) however i do not leave up my decorations past mid-january. i prefer to put them up early.



thanks to kelle's brilliant idea, i made lucas some sock legwarmers. :) we took pics today, lucas is 8 weeks. he has a cold for the 2nd time poor baby gots a stuffy nose.

trying to ignore the fact that jonah has yogurt glopped on his feet and finally post something new....

and that is why i haven't posted in awhile... things like yogurt spilled on feet and in between toes... oh and he's starting a no clothes phase. Narrowly avoided a meltdown at a wedding saturday over wanting to remove his shirt during the ceremony. He's currently clad only in a soggy diaper that is starting to resemble a loincloth. He's watching tom & jerry his current favorite show. Probably time to change the diaper huh?

I'm typing with one hand while holding lucas and nursing. Nursing is going great with Lucas. he's getting to be a real chunker!! Last night he slept for 5 hours!

ok 1 day later...continuing to post...thank goodness you can save and come back otherwise I would never finish a post! I'm going to forget about posting any more cute antidotes and just get to what people want....the pictures!!!

Including the rooms AND updates of my new buddha baby - Lucas! he's probably at least 12 lbs by now. Breastmilk is making this baby FAT! :)




aunt Jamie surprised us with a Visit!!! Made mommy scream in Red Robin because it was a surprise visit!!!! I haven't been surprised like that in a LONG time. I LOVED it! Thank you for visiting Aunt Jamie!!!!! I felt like something was missing from Lucas's arrival...it was you! Now I'm good. :) Mwah!
