Hello (per Grandma)
Jonah is finally well after his bout with the stomach flu. He's lost a little bit of weight, but we are sure he will pack it right back on. This photo was edited with a new favorite online playsite - picnick so easy to do with pictures on Fickr!
Trying not to loose myself in motherhood and failing, but enjoying every minute. Well, most of the minutes.

Doosey of a Bruisey
Once upon a time there was a mommy that turned her head for a second and her boy fell on the concrete steps. Bad Mommy, Bad Mommy!
Seriously like 1 second and then thwack! Poor Jonah B! He cried for a minute then he wanted to right back on the steps! I choose to think that he wanted back to the steps because he's SO tough...

My name is Jonah and I am addicted to...
Figuring stuff out, Helping, and Teddy Grahams.
At school, I am the sole reason they had to put the Extra lock on the cabinet. I figured out how to work the lock knobs. I am a keen observer. My teacher called me their "baby genius". I think mom got too excited by that.
I love to help mommy unload and load the dishwasher.
She says no to knives, cept for getting this picture. I have a good mommy (haha!)
She gives me Teddy Grahams and calls them Baby Crack.
Look at my Ham Hands! Sometimes mommy calls them Banana hands.

On the Boardwalk....
Put up your dukes, c'mon, c'mon! He's such a boy, he like to growl. Grrr!
Just like daddy.
What a sweet boy!
Jonah likes the rain. It was so funny, he would pat his head because he could feel the rain on his head. Sort made him look a little bit um "special".
Sniff, sniff! He's growing up so fast.
I used to have a plan that he'd be out of a bottle at 1. Ha! I was so naive about how a mother feels about her baby growing. I used to say that I wouldn't let my child dictate how I spent my time. Ha! If Jonah needs a nap, there is no "what mommy wants", its naptime!
It really is true that you don't fully appreciate being a mom until you have a baby of your own. I didn't understand that before I had Jonah. No amount of books, obervations or watching nephews (and nieces) prepared me. Before I had kids it was so easy to judge other parents about, well, pretty much everything. Now I have more understanding and compassion (not for stupid parents), but for mom's that still give a bottle to a 2 yr old. I understand that the bottle may be his last link to being a baby and that you are loathe to give it up.
Although motherhood is sometimes challenging, I am inspired by this post to emphasize the positive. I love being Jonah's mommy. I love being in the mommy club.

Sweet Sweet Jonah Boy
I just finished reading the saddest thing ever from Tonya & Co's blog. If I were not at work I would probably grab Joners and cry.
I am so thankful for my Jonah, for the past 10 months of bliss. I love him so much. Thank you Jesus, for my baby. I didn't know I could love this much.
Yard WORK...
Last night my parents picked up Jonah so I could do spring yard clean up. I now have 6 bags of yard waste. I hope I didn't kill the tree in the front. I HAD to trim it. It was overtaking our house. It was turning into a bush/viney thing that was getting scary. I was supposed to do it in the late fall but well it didn't work out.
The previous owner liked "ornamental grass". I chopped it all down cuz it looked like a wheat field. I am going to put a rose bush or something in it's place.
My arms look like I got into a fight with a cat and I got a sliver the size of a small tomato stuck in my hand, but the yard looks better.
I cannot WAIT for my MASSAGE tonight! Yay for chiropractors and bi-weekly massages!

Atlanta
Back home from a too short visit with our friends, Jamie and Stephan. We had so much fun! One would think now that I'm home I'd be thankful for the time we were able to spend together, yada, yada, yada, but NO! I want more time. We didn't shop nearly enough. We only went to Target once! So I will make a list of the things to do so we can move to Atlanta:
1. Nathan finish degree
2. Nathan get a job (in Atlanta) that pays enough so I don't have to work
3. Sell House
4. Get a part time job to afford a ticket to come home on the weekends or fly family to us.
Hm - 4 things - do-able, I say!
